Cotton candy skull

$650.00

This mixed media piece was crafted in one day after finding some cool newspaper clippings that inspired me.

I used to work at a nature center that had an opossoum named Stitch. One day when I was changing Stitch's newspaper in her enclosure, I noticed this page in the paper that had a beautiful pink and blue color scheme. Instead of giving that newspaper to Stitch, I folded it up and stuck it in my purse to bring home with me.

Through my whole day of animal care, I thought about the newspaper in my purse. When I arrived home this piece felt like it errupted out of me and soon I was staring at this skull and space art.

Just an example of how its not hoarding if you're an artist!

Anyway this piece is collage, acetone transfer and acrylic painting all wrapped into one amazing canvas.
